Brazil’s Globo is gearing up to launch the first Latin American version of hit French format The A Talks.
The show, which sees a celebrity or politician face a group of neurodivergent people who ask surprising, unpredictable, sometimes funny or poignant questions, will launch on Globo this weekend.
The format, created by Quad+TEN and Kiosco.TV for France 2, is distributed by London-based Can’t Stop Media.
Damien Porte, partner at Can’t Stop Media, said the company is already in discussions to adapt the format in several other Latin American countries.
It comes after broadcasters including Norway’s NRK, Mediacorp in Singapore, Quebec’s Radio Canada, ABC in Australia, DR1 in Denmark and ITV in the UK have commissioned local versions of the format.
