March 2013 – The Dominican Republic. A Falcon 50 private jet is about to take off from the Punta Cana airport to Saint-Tropez, but it’s intercepted by the Dominican authorities when they find 700kg of cocaine on board.
Two French pilots, a third co-pilot and one passenger are arrested first, with 47 Dominican, both military men and civilians, also taken into custody in the hours to come.
As the US Drug Enforcement Agency gets involved, the “Air Cocaine” investigation becomes a dramatic rollercoaster filled with many twists and turns: as a series of arrests across the Dominican Republic and France leads to a media outburst, and the two pilots perform a shocking escape, concluding with their eventual arrest in Egypt and extradition to Santo Domingo…
